Fix the sound with FFMPEG

17 April 2022

I had recently to fix the audio of a bunch of video file. The issue was that the recording audio was recorded too low. It’s an easy fix with audacity and Pitivi, but when you have multiple recording it’s a bit annoying to do each file by hand. And it’s stupid to do it by hand when 4 lines of bash and ffmpeg can do you for you.

#!/usr/bin/env bash

for FILE in *.mkv; do
    ffmpeg -i "$FILE" -filter:a loudnorm "output/$FILE";
